BSRC – News & Events

2023/2024 SEASON REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED.

Location:  Batawa Ski Hill.

Date/Time:  December 27/28/29, 2023 (3 days).

The schedule for the practice times will be based on age groups with half day sessions for each age group each day.  This year’s schedule is not finalized yet, but last year’s schedule was:

• U19,U16,U14 teams will practice from 9:00am to Noon each day.
• U12,U10,U8 teams will practice from Noon to 3:00pm each day.

Our Club Race is scheduled for March 2nd and 3rd, 2024.  Check your emails for the agenda as well as other events for that weekend.

BSRC Fitness Testing.  For U14/U16 racers.

Sunday December 11, 2022.  Quinte West YMCA.  9am-12pm.

Location: The Grand which is located on 70 Harder Drive in Belleville.

Time:  1:00pm.

It is a time honoured formal tradition that allows for Athletes, Parents/Guardians and Coaches to come together to celebrate the Batawa Ski Racing Club’s accomplishments, and also an opportunity to socialize in non-ski attire, share a meal, and perhaps even some laughs!

This year we held the draw at Batawa Ski Hill on Wednesday January 17th, 2024.  The draw was attended by our Board Chair Dani De Luca, Registrar Ann-Marie Brady and witnesses Carolyn Taylor and Anita McDougall.

Here are the winners:

Grand Prize: Ticket # 1065 – Ed Bashall

2nd Prize: Ticket # 0588 – Dani De Luca

3rd Prize: Ticket # 0813 – Ola Zobel

We will be contacting the winners to arrange for delivery of the prizes.  Thank you for supporting our club!

Date/Time:  Tuesday December 12, 2023.  6:30pm – 8:00pm.

This event is designed to give new parents the chance to listen to details about our programs and ask questions of our Head Coach.

Time:  7:00pm

Location:  Batawa Ski Hill Chalet.

Thank you to all that could attend our Tremblant Pre-Season Camp this year.  We had 51 racers and almost 130 Batawa families at Tremblant this year!  A great turnout, great training and it was wonderful to be on snow!  See you next year!

Thank you to all of volunteers for making this year’s Ski Swap a great success.  We look forward to seeing everyone next year!

Official practices start Wednesday January 4th, 2023 for our U16/U19 teams, Thursday January 5th, 2023 for our U12/U14 teams and Saturday January 7th, 2022 for our U8 and U10 teams.  Your Coaches/Team Managers will be contacting you to provide official start times.  See our Training Days page for some general info about our training sessions.

We held our first 50/50 draw of the season at the Ski Swap.  Proceeds support our club’s activities.  The winning $300 ticket was drawn by racer Walter Levesque and the winner was Deb Smith of Frankford.  Congratulations Deb!  Thank you to everyone for their support!

Batawa Ski Racing has won the Mackenzie Investments Race Club of the Year for the 2022/2023 season!  Thank you to everyone that voted for our club!  Our racers and families are super excited to be recognized for this award!
